alright, im all packed and ready for the thing i have been destined to do from the day i was born. National Service!!! i think its fair enuff to say that i have been waiting for national service all my life.

i was taken care of by my 4 older maternal cousins as a baby, all 4 of them are guys and the 2 older boys, chun huat and eng huat were serving their national service while i was under their care. therefore, as a child i kept hearing stories abt how fun their national service was. they also taught me to love my country and serve my country with pride thus i have always aspired to be a good soldier. coupled with the fact that i have been always been fascinated with guns, war and related stuffs. this waiting for national service grew and grew. it could also be the genes running in my blood ba, all my maternal cousins loved national service and i may have inherited that trait ba. =? currently im still harbouring thoughts of being a regular, but i know i may end up not liking national service as much as i think i would. so i will leave this decision to later on. for now i will jus concentrate on completing my BMT and see which unit im posted to before i make a decision ba.

i guess wad i will miss most is all the atharing with saf, josh and sharon; the many times i spent slacking in the lounge with xiu hui and elene; all the board gaming at minds; my parents and my comfortable room with my com and PS2; my current favourite show, My Name Is Earl; jia ning, serene, fauzrin and priscilla for all the gatherings we have; as well as best, john, jaz, jason and colin with the lameness we shared. quite a number of things sia. hehehe, to all my frens, no worries ya, i will enjoy BMT as much as possible. and pls continue tagging so that i see some movement on my blog when i return in 2 weeks time =P

yes, im definitely excited but im a lil scared too cos i dun know wads going to happen. but still, onwards Pulau Tekong!!!!

last thing. i saw my primary school, school bus auntie today on the way back from sheng shiong. cool sia. according to my mum, the auntie has been wanting to see me for a long time liao le lor, but she always meets my mum but not me. have not seen her since i graduated from primary school sia and she stills remember me. u can imagine the trouble i gave her as a child ba. hahaha. so nostalgic, especially on the eve of enlistment. brought tears to my eyes lor while talking to her, but i will not and did not cry in front of somebody i have not seen for a long time de. lol. she has not changed one bit and hopefully i can see her more often since she is working at sheng shiong part time. and she still remembers all the trouble me and hwa san gave her since we were the naughtiest and the last to alight the school bus. =P

currently over the moon becos of 2 things.
firstly, i have gotten the book i've been targetting for over 6 months liao.

this is the book!!! Biggest Brother : The Life of Major Dick Winters, The Man Who Led The Band of Brothers. WOOOOOHOOOOOO. im getting goosebumps jus typing this entry lar. cool man. this is a man i really respect sia. his leadership and his humbleness is exactly wad the world lacks right now - give him the Medal of Honour he deserves!!!! not some Distinguised Service Cross. he truly deserves it lor, if it isnt for some stupid rule abt only 1 Medal of Honour per division. got to know abt this great man from the greatest generation thru Band of Brothers (both the show and book) i recommend everybody to either read the book or watch the show cos its damn cool lar. for the record, i watched the show 8 times!!! and read the book twice. and they get better each time. actually every man who fought in the 2nd world war deserves some recognition. it jus happened that E company of the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne went through some of the toughest situations imaginable. as Wild Bill Guarnere of E company said, "we are lucky to have our story told in such a large scaled production but the real heroes are those that are lying underneath neatly arranged white crosses in France."

second thing is that i have caught Pirates of the Carribean 2 liao. the show is great man, especially Captain Jack Sparrow!!!! story is magnificent and action is splendid. go and watch it. and dun drink too much water when u watch. cos its not worth going to the toilet and missing any part of the show. every moment is great sia, except maybe the starting. and i have already named Captain Jack Sparrow as one of the guys that i idolise. he is uber cool sia!!! but i dun think cool does justice to him at all lor. remember its CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow.

eventful past week sia. went back to school almost everyday. mon to wed were spent in lounge playing mahjong cards. hahaha. found 3 regular kakis in elene, han and xiu hui. totally addicted to it lar. WTH. in the lounge somemore. den tues play bball in school also and josh got hit in the eye by a ball i passed. nearly knocked him blind in one eye sia. luckily he's alright liao. spent my thurs at home being a good boy. went bowling on fri with josh and sharon (he can even bowl liao lor, shows that he really alright liao). den we went to Popular to buy books (sharon taking her QET) and i went to MJ to get stadium arcadium. den MJ had this 2 vcd for $16. and being the greedy me, i went to look for vcds lar. saw Schindler's List (i had goosebumps when i saw the disc lor) and couldnt get another vcd liao. but i saw Pirates, so i called xiu hui if she wans to buy. turns out she borrowing from elene and she's looking for spirited away. but i couldnt find any animes at all lar. i guess MJ doesnt sell anime vcds ba. so i had to continue foraging, until i saw ladder 49 and remembered saf telling me it was a damn nice show. so i had my 2 vcds and stadium arcadium. btw, stadium arcadium rocks man. the bass by flea damn tok kong. den at the bus stop, josh and sharon started to do impersonations lar. got me so totally high. i even started to talk to saf on the phone in that way. the 2 of them are bastards lar. hahahaha. but it was cool.

after sending sharon home, me and josh met saf at athar and josh bastard the boss there. the boss came and knew wad we wanted for drinks lar, but when he asked for food, josh ask him to read our faces and guess. damn bugger sia. hehehe, but the boss is a nice guy lar. wads a lil joke to him. the boss also always bastard us lar. that time i ordered 1 egg and 1 kosong prata. den he told me so 10 pratas lar, cos 1 and zero equals 10. laughed till i peng sia.

den today, (ytd cos now is sun. yes i know xiu hui) went to meet serene, priscilla, jia ning and fauzrin to celebrate fauzrin's and serene's bdae. was suppossed to go to this board game cafe called pit stop at circular road. but we couldnt find it and we ended up having dinner at TCC(galleria). nv eaten there before lor, only had drinks there and i can still remember the taste lar. the coffee was that damn good. anyhow, the proportion was quite small lar, not enuff for someone like me. but it tasted good. spent the nxt 2 hrs there talking and catching up. serene, jia ning and fauzrin starting school liao loh. and pris going to look for other jobs. and im going to army soon. cant wait sia. left TCC at abt 10 and they proceeded to take photos for the nxt 1 hr ba. hahaha, so typical of them. great to see them lar, been nearly 2 months since i last saw them liao. nice to jus catch up and talk.

last thing, the fucking neighbours playing mahjong again. its ok if they play lar, cos i sleep with music on. but they are smoking lor, totally pollute the air ard my room. now my room smells like i have been smoking for the past 2 hrs. WTH. the government should ban smoking in HDB too. hahahaa =P

went back to school ytd again. this time was to pass book to elene, collect things from xiu hui and play bball with josh's DB teammates. went to tamp interchange first to meet saf for lunch. on the way to S11 we saw Pam(my prog head) with Kenneth(her bf), so we decided to hide behind a pillar and try to scare her. but bloody hell, she didnt see us, so we decided to take the initiative and went up to her. after exchanging hugs and all, we talked talked abit. despite me knowing she is going for OSIP, i still wanted to hear it from her personally. and she is going to Korea lar, something of a homecoming ba since she is half korean. and she is flying on sept 11!! wad a date but she says she doesnt care and honestly i dun think anybody should lar.

after lunch, went back to school and headed straight for the lounge. xiu hui was already there liao, so she passed me the army folder with a dec/jan army magazine in it and the army man on the cover looks like wei sheng lar. hahaha. anyhow, the date is not important lar, the important thing is i have something from the army liao. hahaha. and i couldnt stop grinning after that. thanx xiu hui. den we played mahjong cards with xiao toot and leong, first time playing mahjong in the lounge sia and with cards somemore. damn cute sia. the way i have to manipulate my fingers to fit all the cards in. hahaha, but of the 4 rounds we played i won twice and xiu hui twice. cool sia. totally dominated by prog comm. xiao toot was from log and leong from foodmin. =P nope, im not trying to promote any segregation here. was jus something i noticed.

xiu hui and xiao toot left, so we couldnt continue the game, but in came boss, elene, glenda, jodin. therefore, i spent the rest of the time talking and eating with them. and despite all of us complaining abt how bad the fake rocher tasted, we still managed to finish the entire box. lol. den we watched some mtv that elene created using powerpoint during the holidays. hahaha. damn funny sia, me and boss making it sound so wrong despite it being jus a very innocent slide show. saw abby too, damn long nv see her sia, was very glad to see her lor. last time i saw her was at steamboat. and we talked abt books of all things. lol. alvin neo came in nxt, and he kept worrying abt not having enuff votes and not being able to get into exco again. therefore, he decided to exercise his rights as exco immediately by sending some subcomm to do work. lol. josh called me at abt 5.45, so i left in a hurry to sports com and left my book in the lounge. called elene to ask her help me keep it. but since i still had sometime, i went back to collect it without informing her. in the end, it got elene so worried lar cos the book was nowhere to be seen and she thought somebody else took it. sorry elene. got u so worried.

played bball at school with those bloody school team pple. damn lao lan and cannot make it lar. the zhonghua 12 could trash their ass so badly they cry mama lar. wad i wan to say is, the stupid school team pple think they are damn good lar. but still struggle to beat us - pple who doesnt play regularly. wth, if last time we like that ah, coach dun scold, shih wen and panghin also scold us for being useless lor. but playing ball was fun lar, the shooting and the rebounding. and all the running abt. saw the girls team at training too, hai. also cannot make it lar. im not trying to sound arrogant or im very good lar, but the fact is really cannot make it lar. even josh agrees with me lor. and i got wacked twice lor, wth, once tripped and once poked in the eye. kns, i nearly wanted to play rough liao lor, den josh wacked them first. hahaha, so i decided to cool down and jus play my game. but bball is damn fun lar. as the NBA slogan goes, I Love this Game.

quite a event filled past few days after i stopped working. shall start from saturday, was suppossed to go to bedok reservoir to support TP dragon boat team for SDBF, but i slept till 4pm lar so thats one day wasted liao le. sylbest called me later to watch england vs portugal at his house with the usual gang. at ard 9.45, best called to tell me that he is coming to pick me up at my house. hahaha, that was great lar, it meant i didnt have to leave house 1 hour early. he picked me up at abt 10.15 and we went to pick john up at tampines. jaz was left out cos he was at esplanade with his gf and he would come later. jason pang seh us again that bastard. we reached sylbest's place jus in time for the match, but the match was rather boring lar until rooney got sent off (bad thing sia, cos ronaldo was involved in the incident. and now the press are talking abt a possible rift betweent the 2 lor, which doesnt bode well for United). the match went on to penalties, everything was going well lar, kicks taken and missed. den before carragher was to take his kick, the TV went out on us. WTF, all the cable channels were out. hahaha, in the end we had to get the result that England lost from jaz's gf lar, thru the phone somemore. and for the nxt 30mins, best called starhub to find out what was wrong. turns out, there were unpaid bills lar, thus the cutoff. but why did they choose to cut off when the match was at its high point??!! hahaha, so we went to mac for supper, i had a mcchicken meal with iced milo upsized, 1 apple pie and 1 mcflurry. heaviest mac meal ever lor and i was totally satisfied although it was sinful. =) went back to best's house after that and we talked lor, abt john and his own army life basically catching up with one another. and since there was nothing to watch and we were all feeling lazy, we went to sleep. me and john in the room with the nice bed and best and jaz in the living room on the sofa. LOL.

sunday was uneventful and monday was fun. hahaha. josh called me at 11.30(i remember cos i was still sleeping) and asked me whether i wanted to go back TP for lunch with sharon and saf. of course i wan lar, why would i turn down the opportunity to go back school sia. reached at abt 1 and i met saf at mushroom, he grumbled abt going to MENSA (josh they all were at MENSA) for lunch so it turned into a 2 person lunch at design. saw tommy and jiayi there having their lunch also. their lessons only start at 2 sia. Boss came later to join us, Elene came down too and we talked and talked lor. Elene with her poly forum and Boss abt his campaigning. den some guy came up to us to give out tissue paper. turns out his sister was sarah lar and part of her campaigning was giving out tissue paper with her picture stickered on it. and there was more sia. like sook's post card campaign. the tricks these pple come out with jus to get elected to SU sia, 3 yrs in TP and i have nv seen anything like this before lor. the kids these days are getting more and more creative liao. later went to library to find josh and his DB mates. sat on lvl 3 and talked with them. later we moved to the biz park. along the way , yean hui gave us cards and pen to play some money game infront of the library but we happily left for the canteen without playing. hahaha. we spent the nxt 1 hr in the canteen talking and waiting for candace who was suppose to arrive at 3 but only reached at nearly 6.

in the mean time, i went to the lounge. saw xiu hui, elene, leong, daniel there, daniel was doing his damn big poster lar and the others were minding their own business until i looked into elene's bag and i saw a bottle of pi pa gao. and i happily exclaimed to the entire lounge abt it. elene also had a bottle of something i didnt know, and she claimed it to be her "drug", if i take it i will be addicted too. hahaha, it had a variety of taste in it lar, sour and salty were 2 of it. den xiu hui offered me the brownies she bought, and being the greedy me, i took it with glee but that "drug" thing was still in my mouth and i couldnt bite it into pieces. i only ate the brownie abt 10 mins after it was offered to me cos i only managed to swallow the "drug" 10mins later. listened to xiu hui and elene complain abt their poly forum grp, hahaha, there are many different kinds of human alive too, jus have to tahan lor. went back to canteen and continued to slack there until candace arrived who happily suaned me from the moment she arrived till the moment we parted. bloody hell. kinda reminded me of the days at cartel though. later, they wanted to go TM which i wasnt very interested in so i went back to lounge. and it was during this period that i felt like a senior sia, cos i kept telling the rest of them wad to expect from their electives and wad their yr 3 would be like.

went to help daniel put up his posters later and made xiu hui, elene and glenda wait for me in the lounge. putting up posters aint easy lor. went back to lounge abt an hr later to find xiu hui happily sleeping on the couch, elene going thru her notes and glenda watching shanghai noon. at abt 9.30 ba, we left skool and xiu hui saw jupiter. the star that was the brightest, hahaha. i always thought that jupiter was the north star that sailors use for navigation. turns out i was wrong. went home with xiu hui and all the suaning and crapping began on the bus..... her and her nonsense. turns out she had lawrence leong for Bus Fin lor, and the 3 sec rule is still applicable. cool sia. but for yr 2s its 6 sec. =( been imagining the stress on their face if they had to face the 3 sec rule instead. wonder how many of them would really need to leave sia?

tues was great. went to mindcafe and we took kim joo along too since he is enlisting this fri. pity the cute waitress wasnt working but the trip was still fun lar. and guess what, despite me cutting my nails liao, josh still got cut by me while playing halli galli lor. den we played taboo with me and josh in a team, we comprehensively beat sharon and saf 31-21 lor. it was "I'm the Boss" nxt, the game turned damn complicated lar cos there was now 5 of us playing instead of 4 making dealing more and more difficult. went home with sharon and kim later cos saf and josh went for their DB alumi dinner. but instead of heading home straight, the 3 of us stopped at the pasar malam outside serangoon interchange. hahaha, first thing i did was buy Ramly's burger. and sharon made a comment abt the guy making the burger which was true lar. he looks damn beng lar, but to actually help his parents with the business shows he is a good boy. anyhow, after i got my burger and kim bought his army stuffs, we walked on, den suddenly, this damn smelly smell hit us lar. smelt like alot of shit all mixed together lor. turns out it was chou tofu (smelly tofu). WTH, it even covered the smell from the durians directly opposite the tofu stall lor. and immediately i lost my appetite for my burger liao. the 3 of us ran like there was a bomb or something lar. but we were only trying to get away from the tofu smell. it was damn bloody smelly lor. but i finished my burger and bought an extra chicken wing =) we walked pass mac and saw some of the zhonghua kids sitting in and outside mac jus like how we used to. hahaha, very nostalgic sia. but heck zhonghua, still dun really like the school even though the principal has already changed. (and the new principal is worse) went home and slept at 11.30pm cos i wanted to watch germany vs italy. but i slept till 1pm today. wad a pig i am. LOL
