CONGRATULATIONS LIONS!!! yes yes yes, we beat the Malaysian Tigers at Kallang last nite. wad a great feeling that was sia!! the excitement of the penalty, and the joy of seeing a full house stadium celebrating the Lion's victory. WOOHOOO!! now its on to the finals and winning the trophy once again.

see. this was how the stadium looked like in 2005 man. all red and the atmosphere was unbelievable lar. imagine this time its against malaysia, im sure the noise level would have NEA booking everybody in the stadium for being too noisy lor. =P

anyhow, i watched the penalty shootout at cafe cartel in Seragoon Gardens. wah, my heart was pounding like mad lar. every single shot was going in lor, i was so scared a singapore player would miss sia, bloody hell. when lionel lewis saved that final shot by the malaysians. WAH, relieved sia!!! and the entire cartel cheered and clapped. so nice to know that even though we couldnt be at the stadium, pple are still very much into the match.

and bloody hell, i was cheated by Channel 5!! hahaha, cos the listings stated that the match was a delayed telecast, i happily went out and got my mother to record the match. but they changed it to a live telecast and all my mother recorded was the extra time and shootout. so disappointed lar, but im grateful to channel 5 ya, for changing their schedule so that more Singaporeans could catch the match live. it jus so happened that i didnt have the luck.

anyhow, its onwards to the final le. good luck Lions, show to the others that we are the best team in Asean and soon we will conquer Asia too!!

ok, im late here. i promised to blog in 2 day's time on mon. but i didnt and i sincerely apologize. anyhow, this was wad i wanted to say. HAPPY 21st BDAE Ms Loke Jia Ning. yeah, it was on the 17th. but hahaha, the as usual late me only posted today.

anyhow, she celebrated her bdae in advance on the 13th. held a chalet cum buffet. thanx alot man. and special thanx to serene for coordinating with everybody to get jia ning's present. really appreciate it.

that nite jus brought back memories sia. wad with all my grp mates there; jia ning, fauzrin, serene and priscilla. wah lao, jus so nice to have a good laugh with them lor - especially serene who always comes up with loads of nonsense with me. all the times we spent in the meeting rooms or outside lecture threatres slogging our ass out, having a good laugh and jus talking nonsense. poly life definitely is great sia. life jus seemed so much easier and relaxed.......

anyhow, jason, jaz and best came along too, and we left rather early cos we went to chijmes to catch United in action. (apologies to jia ning for that) i would say it was one of the best performances i have seen in recent times sia. Villa jus didnt have an answer to all the questions we posed to them. carry on United!! anyhow, after that it was supper at bedok 85. nice and sumptous. best was a lil strange that nite though and nobody could get him to talk, not even me and jaz. hopefully he is feeling better now man.

oh ya, reason i was late in blogging was cos i was sick on wed and on MC for thurs, fri and sat. yah, haven been sick in awhile and 1 time kenna only so jia lat. hahaha. but yeah, im feeling better le. so no worries ya.

hmm, and saf is having it real tough sia. can tell his morale and motivation is getting affected le. but mus hang in there sia. its not easy to get into OCS, dun give up now. besides, once service term over. things will start to look up le. so many pple has done it before, so can you!!! times will come where u will question urself and ur motivation but mus hang tough ya. otherwise, all ur efforts the past month will be wasted le. hello hello!! its been awhile sia. but first of all, a very belated HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. i have loads of things to say, but im jus plain lazy to log in and type. anyhow, here goes.

been spending loads of time with my frens the past month plus plus. every weekend is filled with going out especially with saf, josh, kim and sharon especially during josh and saf's block leave period. lets start from christmas eve. spent it at sharon's place where she organized a christmas party. raining like dunnoe wad but food was great, fun was great and of course the frens were great. den midnight winning until everybody jus kinda fell asleep, wad with all the alcohol we had. anyhow, many thanks to sharon for the party. and i got to apologize to jaz and best cos i pang seh them that night cos i was darn lazy to go town despite me promising them i would go down. sorry bros. it'll nv happen again.

had a movie outing with my 2e3 guys before christmas, it was fun!! been awhile since i saw them. and we saw sok leng and magdalene too. wah piang, fellow 2e3 pple we nv kept in touch with. and to meet them while we were going out together was uber cool sia, den we jus stayed behind after the movie to talk and reminisce abt our sec school days. the famously notorious 2e3. all the nonsense we did, like sitting outside the general office and refusing to attend lesson cos we felt and were prejudiced against.

nxt up, new year's countdown at marina. with my 2e3 peeps again!! with brandon's bro whom nobody recognised tagging along. he was still a kid when i last saw him lar, that was way back in 2000 lor. hahaha. we reached damn early to walk ard and chope seats. but jus as the midnight fireworks was to start, we realised that we chope seats at the wrong place. moved out damn quickly and we still managed to find a damn good spot for the fireworks which was SPECTACULAR!!! cool sia, jus waiting for yee han to send the vid nia, and wad a way to countdown. we den led a whole street full of pple to walk across the roads irregardless of the traffic lights. hahaha, the drivers mus have been damn pissed off lar. we den spent the night walking ard aimlessly and greeting strangers happy new year, before settling down by boat quay to play 8 man tai dee. a whole new way to play it taught by yee han.

you know, its always nice to spend a day out with ur frens especially after a hard week's work. all the talking and laughing can really make the week's work so much more worth it. jus the knowledge that during the weekends, i can spend time with pple i can connect with and jus sit down comfortably without even talking is really wad motivates most of us NS boys now. of course, im not complaining abt serving NS cos its a duty. but the idea of doing the same old things everyday jus sucks to the core. some may say im blessed to be booking out everyday, but isnt it even more wonderful to be a combat fit soldier especially if your heart desires so. another reason is becos something has been on my mind and i jus couldnt get it out no matter how hard i try. been awhile since i had something stuck in my mind like this and its really bothering me. its a idea i would like to pursue but doubts jus keeps popping out here, there, every where. thankfully i have these frens to spend time with and keep my mind off it. =)

during this period, caught 2 movies that to me was really good sia. first was "Flags of our Fathers", the movie abt the flag raising on Iwo Jima. very very deep movie with loads of meaning, especially wad Ira Hayes went through. having to endure survivor's guilt as well as having an entire war's success pinned down heavily on ur shoulders. touching and meaningful, and jus portrays war as how cruel it is and wad it can do to those young men who fought in it.
2nd movie, "Death Note 2". didnt really wan to watch it cos will be spoiler since im reading the manga. but sharon's enthusiasm jus sucked me into it. and im not regretting cos its a really great show lar. the show was immaculately paced. and the ending was different from that of the manga's. final reason why its great. becos of MISA MISA. erika toda is her name, wah piang. so uber cute lar. hahaha, first saw her in nobuta wo produce. and she is as cute as ever lor!!
