CONGRATULATIONS LIONS!!! yes yes yes, we beat the Malaysian Tigers at Kallang last nite. wad a great feeling that was sia!! the excitement of the penalty, and the joy of seeing a full house stadium celebrating the Lion's victory. WOOHOOO!! now its on to the finals and winning the trophy once again.
i really wanted to be at Kallang last nite lar, bloody hell. jus imagine the atmosphere at the stadium; the entire stadium clad in red, hearing Kallang roar one more time, the celebrations after the victory. wah lao, im so jealous lar. seeing an entire stadium full of Singaporeans cheering and having fun. and its not for National Day mind you. but i couldnt get tickets lar, bloody hell. they were all sold out lor and i couldnt go early and queue up to get the tix cos i was stuck at work. hai, really wasted lor. but the tix selling out is also a good thing no? this proves that Singaporeans are still intrigued by the fortunes of our National Team. but still, i wasnt there and i really wanted to be part of it, jus like i was in 2005 when we took on Indonesia in the finals.
see. this was how the stadium looked like in 2005 man. all red and the atmosphere was unbelievable lar. imagine this time its against malaysia, im sure the noise level would have NEA booking everybody in the stadium for being too noisy lor. =P
anyhow, i watched the penalty shootout at cafe cartel in Seragoon Gardens. wah, my heart was pounding like mad lar. every single shot was going in lor, i was so scared a singapore player would miss sia, bloody hell. when lionel lewis saved that final shot by the malaysians. WAH, relieved sia!!! and the entire cartel cheered and clapped. so nice to know that even though we couldnt be at the stadium, pple are still very much into the match.
and bloody hell, i was cheated by Channel 5!! hahaha, cos the listings stated that the match was a delayed telecast, i happily went out and got my mother to record the match. but they changed it to a live telecast and all my mother recorded was the extra time and shootout. so disappointed lar, but im grateful to channel 5 ya, for changing their schedule so that more Singaporeans could catch the match live. it jus so happened that i didnt have the luck.
anyhow, its onwards to the final le. good luck Lions, show to the others that we are the best team in Asean and soon we will conquer Asia too!!
