HELLO HELLO!! its been a very good 2 weeks since i last posted. although nothing eventful really happened, its still a nice break from all the 'depression' of the past month yeah. by the way, i passed advance theory for driving so its onwards my license now. and since i'll be on leave most of december, i hope i can achieve a good few lessons before the hectic month of jan begins. and of course, the target of driving license before ORD is very much on track.
anyhow, holiday season coming soon; haji, christmas and new year all like damn close to each other lar. so yeah, have fun everybody!! getting drunk not advisable though. =P
speaking of drinking, i went to holland V for the first time last nite lar. yeah yeah, sounds damn sua ku eh, but it really was my first time there. anyhow, we went to this pub/bar/cafe? called Wala Wala. its cool lar. they have live band performance every nite lar, but on thurs and sat this band called The UnXpected!! COOL BAND LAR!!!
I SWEAR TO GOD, IN THE NAME OF UNITED, they're good man. and when i say good i really mean good lar. i personally feel they're one of the best local bands around lar. and it jus seemed like everybody was there to listen to them.
their lead vocals is a girl called shirlyn tan. a rocker chick man!! and man is she charismatic lar, very humourous and she's got a very powerful voice lar. heard this song called Window? its getting loads of airplay on radio, well its by her. yeah yeah, i read up loads on The UnXpected today after their performance last nite. the rest of the band's damn zai too, the lead guitarist is called rene and when he performed the solos, he looked darn cool and power packed lor, their drummer is called brandon, he worked with loads of overseas artiste before lar and the recent 881 soundtrack, well, all the percussion was done by him too. theres also colin the keyboardist and asri the bassist. both are botak and they looked like the quiet quiet cool cool types, theres another member called joan who wasnt there. guess wad she plays? .........VIOLIN!! violin in a rock band, sounds interesting rite?
why am i so into them now? cos they played a metallica song last nite, and metallica songs are not easy lar. darn good, and to think it was a girl singing it and digging it made it so much more cooler. and of cos, the rest of the set was fantastic too, very high energy and everybody was right into the music. not easy for a band to actually capture the entire audience's attention and they did it marvellously, everybody was calling for an encore when they ended the show lor, thats how good they are. go check them out ya, really really good. wonder when they'll release an album , i'll be sure to buy it though.
oh yeah, joshie josh turned 21 loh. the wait is over and we can watch R21 shows together. hahaha. thanks for the chalet get together as well, it was fun. also a very belated happy bdae to lee jing too. thanks for the treat at max brenner, it was really good chocolate man. thanks alot. and to shar, sorry i couldnt turn up for ur bdae. hadnt seen u in awhile too, lets have a TB012 gathering soon yeah, and have everybody meet up. =P
